FIRST SEMESTER 2019/2020 ACADEMIC YEAR OPENING -ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHANCELLOR COLLEGE NEW AND CONTINUING STUDENTS

2019/2020 Academic Year Opening Arrangements for Chancellor College New and Continuing Students

 

Chancellor College wishes to inform its new and continuing students, parents/guardians and the general public that opening arrangements for the first semester of 2019/2020 academic year are as follows:-

OPENING DATES

The official opening date for the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic year is 9th September, 2019. However, specific categories of students are requested to take note of the specific dates indicated below:

9th September 2019 Orientation programs for new students in the following programs;

  1. Generic Year 1 Students selected through NCHE
  2. Year 1 Law (LLB Honours) Students
  3. Year 1 Diploma in Statistics Students
  4. Year 3 Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Cultural Studies) All Mature Entry Students
  5. All Postgraduate students

16th September, 2019 Beginning of classes for both new and continuing students

20th September, 2019 Beginning of classes for Bachelor of Arts (Human Resource Management)

14th October, 2019 Beginning of classes for Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Cultural Studies)

TUITION FEES & REGISTRATION

Students are advised to start paying for tuition fees contribution immediately through their specific individual 12 digit bank account number at any National Bank of Malawi branch or by using Mo626 platform. Students are further advised that the College does not accept any cash payment.

additional MK2,000 for Student Union subscription through the same bank account at the beginning of the first semester.Students should note that the fee contribution should be paid in full prior to registration or in two instalments of MK177,000.00 and K175,000.00 (for generic students only) at the beginning of first and second semester respectively.

SARIS will be open for registration on-line from Friday, 6th September 2019. Students who fail to register within a period of two weeks from the official opening date shall have their admission revoked or withdrawn from the College.

ACCOMMODATION

All students are reminded that admission is on nonresidential basis. However the limited campus accommodation has been allocated to a few students. First Year Students should enquire by calling Porters’ Lodge on 0888 638000 to check if they have been offered a place on campus and also obtain their twelve digit bank account number. All continuing students who were tentatively offered accommodation on campus and are repeating should look for alternative lodging as earlier communicated. Accommodation fee is payable in advance covering the academic year/semester/month prior to occupation.
