A SMALL ACT WITH A LASTING IMPACT

On 9th August 2025, renowned poet and University of Malawi (UNIMA) alumnus, Robert Chiwamba, made a heartfelt donation of brand-new furniture to the UNIMA Chapel. 

During a recent visit to the campus, Chiwamba observed that the chapel’s furniture had fallen into disrepair. Moved by the sight and by his deep personal connection to the space, he decided to take action.

For Chiwamba, the chapel is not just a building but a sanctuary that played a vital role in his spiritual journey as a student. 

His donation is a tribute to those formative years and a commitment to ensuring that current and future students can continue to find peace, purpose, and spiritual growth in the same space.
