Airtel donates 10 ZTE tablets to Chancellor College

As one way of increasing ICT based academic exploration opportunities in institutions of higher learning, leading mobile telecoms operator Airtel Malawi has donated 10 ZTE tablets each to Chancellor College and Domasi College of Education.

According to Airtel Malawi’s corporate social responsibility manager Norah Chavula, the donation is an investment in the academic world whose fruits would benefit the entire society through competent human resource and different academic research studies on significant social economic areas among others.

Chavula further said the brand was humbled to invest ICT gadgets in the two institutions to deepen E- based academic excellence.

Receiving the donation principal for Chancellor College Dr Richard Tambulasi expressed gratitude that the gesture will enhance teaching and learning at the college.

Acting deputy principal for Domasi College of Education Dr Dennis Khasu hailed the gesture citing it will help in the transition from paper based resources to electronic based resources at the college.

The Airtel ZTE tablets come with 2GB data bundles enough to cater for 3 consecutive months and so far over 15 institutions of higher learning have benefited from this donation worth k23million kwacha.
