Profile

I joined the University of Malawi as a lecturer in 2016. My highest qualification is a Ph.D. in Mathematics which I obtained from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2012. I was promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer in 2014. I teach courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. I have no preference for course. In fact, I handle any course. I am interested in the area of Mathematics called graph theory. I work on combinatorial graph theory and algebraic graph theory. My collaborators are from South Africa, Zimbabwe, India , Indonesia and South Korea. I have been on research tour to India, Indonesia nd South Korea. So far, I have successfully supervised two Masters students. Both did their research in graph theory. Currently, I have two Masters students. I also supervise undergraduates who do their dissertation in fourth year which is the final year of their study. Further, I have served as referee for Discrete Mathematics journal and Journal of Australian Mathematical Society. I am an active member of the Mathematical Reviews a division of the American Mathematical Society.
