His research interests lie at the intersection of education technology, quality education, and sustainable development. He is particularly interested in exploring how digital tools and innovative pedagogies can improve learning outcomes, especially for marginalized and vulnerable populations. He has contributed to research on education access, teacher effectiveness, and child protection, and his work has informed programme design and policy dialogue with organizations including UNICEF and USAID.,

Profile

Samuel Edwin Matabwa is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the University of Malawi, where he teaches Education Research and Curriculum Studies. He holds a Bachelor of Education (Social Studies) from the University of Malawi and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). With over seven years of experience in teaching, research, and education programme management, Samuel is passionate about student-centred learning, inclusive education, and the integration of technology to improve quality education. His research interests include education technology, sustainable development, and equitable access to learning. He also serves as Education Project Officer at World Vision International and has previously worked with Save the Children, Innovation for Poverty Action, and Invest in Knowledge. He is fluent in English and Chichewa.
