Qualifications and Attributes
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Candidates applying for the Lecturer position must hold a Master’s or PhD in Film Production/Film Studies/Communication or related field, along with a Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum award of credit.

For the positions of Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, or Professor, candidates must have a strong record of publications in their area of expertise and demonstrate initiative in research, community outreach, and engagement, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above.

A proven track record of industry experience.

Work on film production as any or a combination of these: Producer, Cinematographer, Director, Scenographic Designer, Sound Recording Engineer, Costume Designer, Make Up Artist, Film Marketer and Distributor, Music Score Composer, Director of Art, Director of Photography.
Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching, setting and timely marking of examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in drama and theatre courses.

Supervise undergraduate/postgraduate research projects and provide academic mentorship to students.

Scholarly peer-reviewed publications for the advancement of oneself and the profile of the Department, the school and the University.

Promote experiential learning and hands-on entrepreneurial training.

Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the departmental strategy.

Support quality assurance and curriculum development initiatives.

Conduct original research in entrepreneurship and publish in reputable journals.

Develop innovative teaching methodologies and materials.
-
Foster partnerships with industry players and community stakeholders.

Organize and participate in entrepreneurship seminars, workshops, and conferences.

Seek funding opportunities to support departmental projects and initiatives.
-
To take up tasks and duties as assigned by the Head of Department, the Executive Dean, and the Vice Chancellor.
