Qualifications

Applicants for Lecturer must have at least a Master of Education Degree in Chemistry Education plus a Bachelor of Education Degree in Chemistry with CREDIT or DISTINCTION obtained from a university recognized by the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE).

In addition to the Lecturer level requirements, applicants at Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor level should also provide evidence of experience in publishing in peer reviewed journals in the field of Chemistry Education.
Duties
The successful candidate should be able to:

Teach Chemistry and Chemistry Education courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels,

Set and timely mark assignments, projects and examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Chemistry and Chemistry Education,

Supervise and examine postgraduate Students in Chemistry and Chemistry Education,
-
Supervise students on teaching practice,
-
Carry out research, consultancies and outreach activities.
