The goal of the Department of Fashion and Design is to become a leader in the field of fashion, design and marketing. The department focuses on applied science that equips students with knowledge, skills and practical experience required to handle the entire fashion and design process – from conception of a design idea to consumption of a textile product. The department has programmes which adopt a holistic approach that ensures personalised attention to individual students so that they grow with professional, creative and original fashion design ideas. Through its programmes, the department focuses on producing well equipped and confident designers ready for the fashion industry.
The department has two undergraduate programmes namely Bachelor of Arts in Fashion, Design and Marketing, and Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. The department also runs the following postgraduate programmes: Master of Arts in Fashion, Design and Marketing; Master of Arts in Interior Design; and PhD in Fashion, Design and Marketing.
